When referencing Winston Guy Phillips said, "Winston Guy will be practicing, noncontact. He'll be in a red jersey. Really pleased with the way he sucked it up and went last week because he was really, really banged up."
Junior safety Martavius Neloms was unable to play, making the presence of Guy even more important.
Playing injured Guy was still able to rack up four tackles and a fumble recovery against Georgia and was a primary reason the Wildcats were able to put together a solid enough game to hang with the Bulldogs, who feature one of the nation's top defenses.
Those four tackles, an off game when judged against the normal Winston Guy output, gives the UK senior 106 tackles on the season. This places him second in the SEC, trailing only teammate Danny Trevathan's 135 tackles.
When Guy takes the field Saturday, and there is little doubt that if he can get out onto the field he will play, Guy will be playing his final game as a Wildcat.
I'm really going to miss that Guy, he has always given the extra effort on the field that fans love to see. Even when this season seemed hopeless Guy played hard. He has done everything UK fans hoped he would when he signed with the Wildcats, and more.
