This appears to be the overall theme coming from the players and John Calipari. Even though they would like for it to be just another game, they say they know the enormity of the contest because the fans do a good job of making them aware.
"This game will be like the other real good teams we have played,' the coach said. "They will be physical. You can't be afraid of contact and we have to strong be the ball. You know what I think of (Peyton Siva) from last year and that hasn't changed. He's as good guard as there is in the country. I think he's an NBA player."
Cal's Cats have played North Carolina and Indiana, and now comes the Louisville Cardinals. A totally different type of team. They will scrap all over the floor because they have to in order to win. The Cardinals are not a real good halfcourt team. They have to wreak havoc and make it a transition game.
"Our players will tell you that we have not played this game any different than any other game," Cal said. "For the fans this is an enormous game."
