In just a short time, Kentucky was able to build a solid relationship with Cody Quinn. The relationships led Quinn to officially commit to the Wildcats.

Cody Quinn visited Kentucky officially this weekend and left Lexington as a Kentucky Wildcat. Of all the things that he saw on his visit, it appears that building a relationship with the UK coaches is what impacted him most.

"They were real personable," he said of the UK staff. "(What stood out) was just how close and personable they are with you. They don't treat you like another number. I loved that," said Quinn.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound senior was hosted at Kentucky by sophomore linebacker Avery Williamson. He felt great about his chance to compete at Kentucky and made it official.

"It's a tremendous opportunity to go to Kentucky. I got to build a good relationship with all the coaches in a short time. I sat down with Coach Joker (Phillips) at his house; me and my mom. I told him I wanted to be a Wildcat."

Quinn also had talked in depth with other coaches on the Kentucky staff before making his commitment.

"Actually I talked to Joker a lot. Coach Minter, too. The person that was recruiting me at Marshall, Coach (Mike) Cassity – I got to build a strong relationship with him. He had jumped on board at Kentucky," Quinn continued.

So what can we expect from the three-star corner?

"I think I'm going to help. I have a chance to prove myself. I think I have a great chance to come in and help. I know that I can help in the kick return game and play corner in certain packages. I gotta go prove myself," he finished.
