This year a new cast of characters is set to join Joker Phillips's third team. Most of the names we know, but a couple of players could be a little under the radar.
Khalid Henderson is the least under the radar prospect in the group. Henderson has openly stated his final two are Kentucky and Ole Miss. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker is an outstanding athlete who could play early on special teams or even break the depth chart should he gain additional strength. He won't be a big surprise if he comes to Kentucky, but he'd be a welcomed addition.
Kentucky's also involved with Jarnor Jones, a North Carolina State commit. Jones at one point was committed to Middle Tennessee State. The rangy safety also holds offers from West Virginia and Vanderbilt. It's unclear how much of an impact the Kentucky visit had on the two-star prospect. Jones will decide between Kentucky and North Carolina State on Wednesday.
Kentucky is also dipping down into Prattville, Alabama where quarterback Jalen Whitlow (6-foot-3, 200-pounds) is the target. Whitlow is a big, fast athlete who could play at quarterback, wide receiver or maybe even safety. The three-star prospect would be a nice pickup at the last minute for Kentucky, despite his best offers being Memphis, Arkansas State (where he's committed) and Minnesota.
There could also be other players out there who are on the verge of picking up a Wildcat offer. But we'll likely have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
