LaBront Scott is one of the top defensive end prospects in Kentucky's 2013 class. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound junior was second on the team with 99 tackles this season for Mayfield, helping them to the 1-A state championship game. Scott also had three fumbles recovered and an interception as well.

His play this season earned him scholarship offers from Murray State and Western Kentucky early in the process. Now the Kentucky Wildcats are showing heavy interest.

"(Junior Day) was absolutely great," said Scott. "I loved Kentucky. I'm just waiting on an offer," Scott said.

Scott learned a lot about Kentucky on his visit to Kentucky. He feels like an offer is coming and he knows where he'll be fitting in if he chooses to come to Lexington.

"I'm pretty sure (they will offer)," said Scott. "They drew up their defensive scheme and showed me a position I fit in at. It's a hybrid. They call it a rush backer. It's basically a walk-up outside linebacker. It seems unique," Scott said.

The role is currently filled by linebackers Ridge Wilson and Alvin Dupree.

Kentucky Sports Report will have more with LaBront Scott and other Junior Day visitors as it's available.
