# 11 Kentucky to face # 25 Purdue today

GARY, Ind. - The # 11 Kentucky Wildcats will face # 25 Kent State today at 4 p.m. in the opening day of the NCAA baseball tournament. Kentucky will start junior southpaw Taylor Rogers (6-4, 4.31 ERA) to face Kent State's senior lefty, David Stam (10-3, 1.77 ERA).

Kentucky (43-16) is the # 2 seed in the region hosted by Purdue, while Kent State (41-17) is the # 3 seed, making their fourth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. Although the region is hosted by Purdue, the games will take place 100 miles from their campus at the home of the independent minor league U.S. Steel Yard.

The Flashes are sporting a current 17-game winning streak, the longest in the nation.

The game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET start. All Kentucky games will be broadcast live on the UK IMG Radio Network, available in Central Kentucky on WLAP 630-AM, in Louisville on WKJK 1080-AM and online at UKathletics.com. In addition, the Big Ten Network will provide a live telecast of all the games involving B1G Champion Purdue.
