Last week Kentucky added JeVontey Smith to the receiving corps. This week, another big target, Deangelo Yancey, made the call for the Wildcats.

Deangelo Yancey made the call for the Kentucky Wildcats this morning. The 6-foot-2, 197-pound receiver picked the Wildcats over Ole Miss and Wake Forest.

"I feel good (about Kentucky). I think it was a solid decision. My relationship with Coach Washington was big in my decision. We made a good connection and he's a good position coach," said Yancey.

Yancey had originally planned to visit Kentucky this weekend, but he wasn't able to make that trip. But he still may make it up to Lexington before he takes his official visit.

"I actually wasn't able to make it to Kentucky as planned. I might reschedule before I take my official. I don't plan to take my official visit until after the season," he said.

So what are the Wildcats adding to the team in Deangelo Yancey?

"My ball skills are my strength. I play physical on the field. And I think being physical will help me play early in the SEC. There are a lot of big time corners. I want to get better at blocking. I definitely got to block better," he said.

Yancey had 35 catches for about 600 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior.
