Kentucky released its official roster for the 2012-13 basketball season on Wednesday with the addition of the nation's No. 1 recruiting class and two transfers.
The Wildcats have only six players back from last year's national championship squad, leaving the roster dominated by newcomers. Freshmen Nerlens Noel, Archie Goodwin, Willie Cauley-Stein and Alex Poythress headline John Calipari's fourth consecutive top-ranked recruiting class since arriving in Lexington.
Also new to the Cats are transfers Julius Mays and Ryan Harrow, the latter who spent last season practicing with UK but was not eligible to play after transferring from N.C. State. Mays will be eligible to play this season as a graduate student after transferring from Wright State.
Returning veterans include Kyle Wiltjer and Jon Hood, as well as walk-ons Twany Beckham, Jarrod Polson, Sam Malone and Brian Long.
