One of the visitors on hand for Kentucky's opener was Wade Holtsclaw. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior talked a little about his visit to Commonwealth Stadium.
"The visit was overall pretty good," said Holtsclaw. "I got there late and missed talking to the coaches, but I will be returning this weekend to talk to them," said Holtsclaw.
But Holtsclaw has been on campus before and talked to the Wildcat coaches and has a pretty good impression of the Kentucky program.
"I've been there on previous visits. I like all the coaches and staff at Kentucky. They have a good program that I always dreamed of being a part of since I can remember," he said. "They are definitely my number one school that I would go to if I could ever receive an offer from them."
Holtsclaw is working to pick up some scholarship offers at this stage. The senior is having a good season, four games in. He's got 446 yards rushing on 35 carries and six touchdowns. He's also got four receptions for 88 yards and two more scores. On top of that, Holtsclaw is playing on both sides of the ball right now, doubling as a corner.
"It's still pretty new to me, but I believe I did well," he said.
Kentucky Scout will have more on Holtsclaw as the new materializes.
