Madness sells out in 35 minutes

Tickets for Kentucky's annual "Big Blue Madness" celebration got scooped up quickly Saturday morning.

Big Blue Madness may still be almost four weeks away, but the real madness got under way this week on the grounds surrounding UK's Memorial Coliseum.

Almost 600 tents were erected as campers waited four days to get their hands on precious seats to the Oct. 12 event at Rupp Arena. The tickets were distributed Saturday at 7 a.m., and combined with online orders, sold out in only 35 minutes.

Fans were limited to only four tickets per person at the Memorial Coliseum distribution and four per household for online sales.

Big Blue Madness will be the first opportunity for the public to see the defending national champions practice, as well as the highly-touted UK women's team.

It will mark the eighth time the event will be held at Rupp Arena after years of being celebrated at Memorial Coliseum.
