BBR: New UK visit dates

Three of the nation's elite basketball prospects in the Class of 2013 are making plans to visit Lexington soon. Read the latest in this KentuckyScout update.

With Big Blue Madness and the start of a new season on the horizon, October will be a huge month for Kentucky basketball.

Some news developed this weekend regarding three of UK's biggest targets in the Class of 2013, five-star Texas guards Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison and five-star California forward Aaron Gordon.

The Harrison twins, who recently trimmed their list to UK, Maryland and SMU, were not expected to make a return trip to the Bluegrass after visiting for last year's Big Blue Madness and again this past summer. But Andrew Harrison told Scout's Josh Gershon that he and his brother now plan on visiting UK on Oct. 12 for Madness.

Andrew Harrison (6-5, 205) is rated the No. 1 point guard in the country by Scout and the No. 2 prospect overall. Aaron Harrison (6-5, 205) is rated the No. 1 shooting guard and No. 3 overall.

Meanwhile, Gordon told KentuckyScout via text message that he has tentative plans to make his official visit to Lexington on Oct. 26. He is also strongly considering Arizona, Washington, Kansas and Oregon.

The 6-foot-8, 212-pound power forward is rated No. 2 at his position behind only fellow UK target Julius Randle of Texas and No. 5 overall.

Randle made his official visit to UK last weekend.

In another UK-related development this weekend, four-star New Jersey forward Tyler Roberson announced via a personal journal entry to that he has trimmed his list to six schools.

The new list now features UK, Kansas, SMU, Syracuse, Rutgers and Villanova. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound combo forward has visits set up with SMU, Syracuse and Kansas over the next three weekends. The other three schools on his list will vie for the two remaining official visits permissible by NCAA rule, although it's possible he won't need one for New Jersey-based Rutgers.
