Change of plans for Florida RB

There's been a change in the official visit plans for three-star Kissimmee (Fla) Osceola running back Stafon McCray. Read more about it in this KyScout update.

Three-star Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola running back Stafon McCray was originally expected to be on the official visitors list at Kentucky this weekend, but there's been a change in his plans.

"I talked to the Kentucky coaches, and they told me that my (scholarship) offer was still on the table, but they wanted to bring me in on a later weekend," McCray said. "I haven't decided exactly when that will be yet, but I still want to go up there."

McCray (5-11, 200, 4.5) told KyScout that the Wildcats were his leader in late December, but a couple other programs have stepped up their recruitment since then.

"Louisville and USF (South Florida) are coming on," he said. "I'll be going to USF this weekend, and maybe Louisville after that. I'm not sure about that one yet, but they sound like they're excited to get me up there."

McCray rushed for more than 1,700 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior. He had more than 3,200 yards rushing the last two years for Osceola and was a member of the Florida North-South All-Star Game, where his performance caught the eye of new UK running backs coach Chad Scott.
