Kentucky's second matchup with the nation's top-ranked team ended the same as the first.
This time it was Vanderbilt, however, sweeping the Wildcats. Earlier this season, UK lost a three-game weekend series to No. 1 LSU.
The Commodores finished off their sweep with a 10-5 win over UK on Sunday at Cliff Hagan Stadium. Vanderbilt (45-6, 24-2 SEC) took both games of a doubleheader, 11-3 and 5-3, on Saturday.
Kentucky (28-22, 10-17 SEC) got to Vanderbilt starter T.J. Pecoraro for five runs on eight hits through 4.1 innings, but was shut down by Steven Rice (4-0) out of the bullpen. The Commodore lefty allowed only two singles over the final 4.2 innings.
UK starter Corey Littrell (5-5) suffered the loss, allowing eight runs on eight hits (seven earned) over 6.2 innings of work.
Catcher Spencer Navin led Vandy with a 3-for-4, two-RBI day at the plate, while All-America second baseman Tony Kemp added two hits and scored twice.
Austin Cousino went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Cats at the plate, while A.J. Reed recorded his team-leading 12th home run of the year. Max Kuhn also had a solo homer for UK.
A two-run homer by Conrad Gregor put the Commodores up for good in the sixth inning just after Reed had tied the game up with his solo shot for UK in the bottom of the fifth.
Kentucky plays host to Indiana on Tuesday in its home finale before wrapping up the regular season schedule with a three-game set at Missouri on May 16-18.
* UK fell to 6-14 against top-25 teams.
* The Wildcats' J.T. Riddle made his 116th consecutive start.
* Freshman Kyle Barrett extended his team-long hitting streak to 14 games.
