Zack Storm hit a three-run homer and Corey Littrell earned his 21st career victory at Kentucky as the Wildcats defeated Missouri 5-1 on Saturday to avoid a sweep in the final game of the regular season.

Kentucky (30-24, 11-19 SEC) got single runs in the fourth and six innings before Storm's ninth-inning blast gave the Cats some breathing room.

Littrell (6-5) worked seven innings, allowing six hits, four walks and one run while striking out seven. He is now in sixth place on the UK all-time wins list, just three wins shy of the program record.

UK banged out 13 hits on the day, getting three hits from J.T. Riddle and two each from Paul McConkey, Zac Zellers and Micheal Thomas. Matt Reida, A.J. Reed, Kyle Barrett and Storm each added one hit. McConkey and Thomas each collected an RBI for the Cats.

The Tigers' only run came via a pair of fifth-inning doubles by Jake Ivory and Josh Lester.

Missouri (18-31, 10-20 SEC) won the first two games of the series, 4-2 and 4-3, on Thursday and Friday. John Miles (0-3) took the loss for the Tigers in 1.1 innings of relief of starter Griffin Goodrich.

Gary Henderson's club now heads to Hoover, Ala., for the SEC Tournament. UK will be the No. 11 seed in the 12-team event, playing No. 6 Ole Miss on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. ET in the single-elimination bracket. If the Cats advance, they'll face Arkansas in the second round with an opportunity to continue playing in the double-elimination bracket.

Many college baseball analysts believe UK will need a minimum of three wins in Hoover to earn an NCAA Tournament bid.
