Mark Stoops and Kentucky have made a new home in the state of Ohio in this recruiting cycle. The Wildcats added three-star offensive tackle Nick Richardson to their 2014 recruiting class.
"Well, I was planning on committing tomorrow but looks like its already out. I will be committing to The University of Kentucky! #BBN" - Nick Richardson via Twitter
The Richardson news comes on the heels of Kentucky missing out on another Ohio lineman yesterday, Brady Taylor. Taylor picked Virginia Tech over Kentucky.
Richardson had offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Toledo and West Virginia.
FOX Sports Next Midwest Manager Allen Trieu described Richardson this way.
"He's a pure power guy. He's a beat you up, in your face mauler. He's not a kid that has blown us away in a camp setting, because that doesn't play to his strengths. Road grater type run blocker right now. He'll have to keep working in pass protection, but there's no doubt he'll give maximum effort and play with intensity."
Kentucky Scout will have more on Richardson as it's available.
