He was happy when he learned the Wildcats were interested.
"I was very excited getting an offer from (UK)," Chase said. "They're the first SEC school offering me. I really feel when time comes to make my decision, they will be a good school to consider."
The Cats made such an impression on him that UK is now considered one of his top schools. He is likely to be visiting on April 26th for Kentucky's Blue-White spring game. He also plans to visit Miami sometime in March.
Asked what he's looking for in a college program, Chase said: "I'm looking for a place that will fit me academically, not just athletically. I'm also looking for a college that can give me the home feeling as well. Lastly, I want to attend a winning program."
Chase said he has a lot to offer programs. "I'm humble, coachable and I'm blessed to have talent that colleges are recruiting me for. I want to work on my footwork, my overall strength and speed. I feel I need to improve my 40 to be successful college player."
The Sunshine State product currently has no timetable for making his decision, but did say whenever he feels the time is right, he could commit to a school.
