"Coaches at Kent State and Illinois have told me an offer could be coming," he said. "I'm going to visit Pitt and Louisville for the spring games to talk with the coaches there more."
So what's the fuss?
Story (5-9, 165, 4.45) is one of the fastest prospects in the talent-rich Buckeye State. He still hasn't heard from Ohio State, but Glenville High School is known as pipeline for that program.
Kentucky has been making a strong impression on him early in the process.
"Coach Vince Marrow and I have talked about me coming down to their spring game," he said. "I'm going to try visit Kentucky then."
At this point, the two parties are building on their relationship, getting to each other better.
"The Kentucky staff has been asking me how my season went," Story said. "I believe the staff is looking at how I performed during the season and see what I could improve on. I know that Kentucky uses the Air Raid offense and need wide receivers who can make plays."
Trevon currently has no top-five list or favorite, but mentioned after the summer he should have a better idea of how his prospective schools stack up.
Asked if an Ohio State offer would put the Buckeyes in the lead, Story said "No." He's considering all of his options in order to find the best fit for him personally.
"I'm looking how good the strength coach is at the universities," said Story, who wants to add some good muscle to his frame. "I want play somewhere I can become stronger, faster and get me to the next level in strength."
