Q&A with new Wildcat Mason Wolfe

Three-star Henderson County offensive lineman Mason Wolfe joined Kentucky's 2015 football commitment board after a weekend visit to Lexington. He became the first in-state player and the sixth verbal overall to the Wildcats in junior class.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Wolfe had originally planned to let his recruitment play out a bit longer, but decided there was no reason to continue to delay what he knew was an inevitable verbal to Mark Stoops & Co.

In this AllWildcats Q&A, Wolfe talks about the key factors in his decision to play for the Cats.

AllWildcats: What made you decide today was the day to commit to UK?

Mason Wolfe: "I felt that UK was where I wanted to go all along, it's in-state and I have great relationship with the coaches."

AW: What was the reaction from the coaching staff when you told them your committing to Kentucky?

Mason Wolfe: "They were very happy and really excited about me committing to Kentucky."

AW: What did the coaches tell you about Kentucky during your recruitment that helped you ultimately commit to UK?

Mason Wolfe: "They told me I had great potential and that what better place to be at than my state school."

AW: Have you talked talked to any of the UK commits since your commitment?

Mason Wolfe: "No, I haven't had the chance to talk any of them yet."

AW: Are you going to try to convince any of the in-state recruits to join you at UK?

Mason Wolfe: "Yes, I'm going to try convince Eli Brown, Emmitt Smith and Damien Harris."

AW: Are you planning on enrolling early?

Mason Wolfe: "No, not planning on enrolling early."

AW: Is there anything you like to say to the BBN?

Mason Wolfe: "I'm very excited to be a part of this great university, and be a part of this great fan base."
