Cards offer Atlanta Westlake teammates

The University of Louisville football staff continued its quest to land some of the top players from Georgia, offering a trio of top prospects from Atlanta Westlake High School on Thursday. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the offers.

University of Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has a ton of contacts in the state of Georgia and is he's using them to try and land some of the best prospects from the Peach State.

The new U of L coach has offered a bunch of prospects from Georgia, including a trio of players on Thursday from Atlanta Westlake High School.

The Cardinals offered three-star defensive tackle DaQuan Hawkins, linebacker Julian Jones and 2016 defensive back Nigel Warrior.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Hawkins now has seven offers, including Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Georgia Tech.

Jones is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker who also has an offer from Georgia State and interest from Georgia tech and Cincinnati.

Warrior is the son of former Tennessee defensive back Dale Carter. The 6-foot, 180-pound safety now has nine offers, including Tennessee, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Georgia.
