Brown, 6-foot-6, 260-pounds, holds nearly 50 offers and Alabama can now be added to that list. After visiting Brown at the school recently, the Crimson Tide extended their offer.
"I was offered by Alabama today, and they told me yesterday to give them a day on it, so they kept their word," Brown stated. "Coach (Mario) Cristobal and I just got off the phone and he told me of the offer. Coach (Bobby) Williams was at my school recently to see me work out, and he was the one that said for me to expect their offer."
"I've been in contact with them for a while now," he added. "I have not had a chance to speak to Coach (Nick) Saban yet, but I will be doing that soon. Coach Cristobal said he thinks I can play in the NFL some day as an offensive tackle, and he said he wants me in his program."
"I appreciate all the schools that have offered me so far, and Alabama has me excited about their offer," he continued. "I've been there before and loved it, so I'm looking forward to going back down there again. I might be going for camp July 14, and I might take an official there in the fall. This offer means a lot to me."
An announcement is planned in October, as Brown will announce his college choice on his birthday.
"I will be announcing on my birthday, October 28," Brown admitted. "I've talked it over with my parents and we all think that will be a good time to do it."
Scout.com will continue to track Brown throughout this summer and will update his status accordingly.
