Reserve (La.) Riverside Academy standout Deuce Wallace stopped by the UK football facilities for an unofficial visit after picking up interest from the Wildcats this spring.
Wallace, who has been hearing from programs like UK, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Georgia, Ole Miss and LSU, is still awaiting his first major scholarship offers, but senses that one could be coming soon from the Big Blue.
"The visit to Kentucky was incredible," Wallace said. "I was able to tour the campus, the facilities. They are very nice. It'll be even nicer once they finish all the renovations in a couple of years.
"After the tour, I met the offensive coordinator, Neal Brown, the offensive line coach, (John) Schlarman and the running backs coach, (Chad) Scott. Coach Brown and I sat down for about 30-45 minutes to discuss the way the offense is run and what he looks for in a quarterback. After the talk and hearing how the offense is run at Kentucky, it sounded like the same concepts we use at my school, so that was definitely appealing to me."
According to Wallace, Brown left him with some encouraging words.
"He said there was a really good chance for (an offer) in the future," he said.
The junior-to-be sees UK as a good option for him as his recruitment continues to develop. "It's a place I could see me attending because Coach Brown is someone that can definitely make me better."
As a sophomore, Wallace (6-2, 2015) threw for approximately 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns.
