Over two hundred players are expected to be on campus this weekend, but we have a bit of scoop on a couple of players who may be leaning toward making their college decisions.
Hiram, Ga., standout Jonathan Greenard is one to really keep an eye on. His finalists are Louisville and Kentucky. Both schools have offered the 2015 defensive end/tight end. Greenard (6'4, 220) is also being evaluated as a possible linebacker in UK's defensive scheme.
He plans to visit both schools this weekend and may give a commitment before leaving the Bluegrass State. The Cats are heavy favorites. Greenard informed me earlier this week he could very well pull the trigger before leaving UK Saturday.
As a junior, Greenard finished with 41 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one interception.
He is being recruited by UK assistant coach Derrick Ansley.
Another name to keep an eye on is a familiar one.
Opelika (Ala.) defensive end Quandeski Whitlow, the cousin of former UK quarterback Jalen Whitlow, is high on Kentucky and Miami right now. Althought his cousin left the program in search of more playing time, Quandeski says Jalen told him nothing but positive things about UK.
The senior-to-be informed me his mindset this weekend is, if the visit goes well, it's likely he'll commit to the Cats.
Whitlow (6'4, 225) finished with 43 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks as a junior.
He is also being recruited by Ansley.
