State well-repped in Scout 300 for 2016

The Bluegrass State was well-represented Wednesday with the release of Scout's initial Top 300 list for the Class of 2016.

Kentucky commitment Landon Young of Lafayette High School in Lexington came in with a four-star ranking and at No. 129 overall. The 6-foot-7, 265-pound Young was ranked as the No. 14 offensive tackle in the country.

Another junior-to-be from central Kentucky, Woodford County's Drake Jackson (pictured above), came in at No. 73 overall and was graded the nation's top center prospect. The 6-foot-2, 284-pound Jackson is currently uncommitted, but considered to be a strong lean to Mark Stoops' Willdcats.

Both players were on UK's campus Wednesday as part of the Cats' June summer camps. They competed in drills alongside two other future Wildcat linemen in 2015 commitments Logan Stenberg and Mason Wolfe.

Quinton Baker, the son of former UK running back Al Baker, was also on the Top 300 for 2016. The Ashland Paul Blazer standout came in at No. 200 overall and the No. 18 tailback.
