His strong junior season, which included a 13-tackle game against Mississippi State, earned second-team All-SEC honors by the Associated Press.

The 6-foot-4, 267-pound Dupree had an opportunity to enter the NFL Draft this spring, but elected to return to the Wildcats for his senior season. He is expected form one of the league’s best defensive end combos with fellow senior Za’Darius Smith.

Semifinalists for the Bednarik Award will be announced Nov. 3 by the Maxwell Football Club with three finalists being unveiled on Nov. 24. The winner will be presented as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on Dec. 11.
