Cats make new offer

Kentucky issued a new scholarship offer on Saturday night to a rising senior.

The Wildcats are now officially in the mix for four-star Kinston (N.C.) small forward Brandon Ingram.

The highly-touted prospect announced via his Twitter social networking account that received an offer from UK coach John Calipari while playing in the Adidas Unrivaled Camp in Chicago.

Ingram (6-8, 190) is currently rated the No. 5 small forward and No. 26 player overall in the Class of 2015 by Scout.

UK joins a list of programs to have offered Ingram that includes North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, Louisville, N.C. State and Wake Forest.

He told Scout tonight that, with UK and Kansas joining the mix, he plans to take his time before making a college decision. Previously, it appeared that Ingram was going to be a battle between the home state Tar Heels and Blue Devils.

According to our Scout team of national analysts, Ingram is a player who possesses "a set of very long arms. Ingram can back off opposing offensive players but still contest or even block a jump shot. He also uses his length as an offensive rebounder and finisher inside. His handling and passing are solid and his jump shot capable (but streaky) to 22 feet."
