Kentucky has reportedly picked up his second commitment for the 2016 class. According to reports, McCracken County (KY.) quarterback Zyaire Hughes has committed to Kentucky.

Kentucky has reportedly picked up his second commitment for the 2016 class. According to reports, McCracken County (KY.) quarterback Zyaire Hughes has committed to Kentucky.

Hughes, one of the top prospects in all of Kentucky and arguably the best in Western Kentucky, has also has an offer from Purdue. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound quarterback has been to Kentucky multiple times and decided to pull the trigger for the Wildcats.

Hughes, who could play wide receiver or safety as well, led his team to 9-3 record, throwing for 2446 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also rushed for 634 yards and 16 more touchdowns.

When he got his offer from Kentucky in December, he spoke with Scout.com.

“I was happy and blessed that I have a ticket out of here as a sophomore,” Hughes said.

He has always been high on Mark Stoops’ Kentucky program.

“I love (the program). I like how it’s a big gamily. I have fun with them,” he finished.
