Kentucky has continued its recruiting efforts in the mid-Atlantic region recently. The Wildcats offered Columbia (MD.) Oakland Mills High quarterback David Pindell.

Pindell, a dual-threat quarterback, threw for 1566 yards and 13 touchdowns for his team last season. But he also rushed for 651 yards and eight more scores. While his numbers, don’t jump off the page, his 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame and 4.5 forty are solid attributes.

“I describe my game as a pocket passer that’s able to make plays with my speed and my feet if I have to,” Pindell said.

Prior to his Kentucky offer, several other schools have been showing interest.

“I’m hearing from Tennessee, Boston College, Rutgers, West Virginia, Maryland, Old Dominion, Monmouth, Stony Brook, and Coastal Carolina,” Pindell said.

West Virginia, Syracuse, and Tennessee join Kentucky as other BCS offers on the table for the quarterback. The Kentucky offer is one that pleased Pindell.

“I didn’t know much about their program except that they play in the SEC. I was really excited about the offer,” Pindell said.

With the offer to Pindell, it’s obvious that Kentucky is serious about continuing work the D/M/V area. The Wildcats already have commitments from Gonzaga receiver Jabari Greenwood and Good Counsel defensive end Darius Fullwood.
