Freshman forward/center Karl Towns put on a show Monday that underscored why he was the Gatorade National Player of the Year as a senior coming out of New Jersey.

Towns scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out three assists as Kentucky defeated French professional team Champagne Chalons-Reims 81-58 in the second game of the Wildcats' Big Blue Bahamas exhibition tour.

The UK newcomer wasn't the only standout, thought. Junior forward Alex Poythress turned in his second strong performance with 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals.
