Miller named SEC Offensive Lineman of Week

For the second time on the young season, a Kentucky player has been named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Senior offensive tackle Darrian Miller earned the honor on Monday night for his play in UK’s 17-7 win over Vanderbilt. The Lexington native graded out at 89 percent for the Wildcats and did not allow a sack or quarterback hurry wihle playing penalty-free. He was also credited with four knockdown blocks.

Miller, who has made 29 starts during his UK career, joined Jon Toth as the Cats’ second lineman of the week winner. The redshirt freshman center claimed the honor for his play in the season-opener against UT-Martin .

Kentucky (3-1, 1-1 SEC) returns to action Saturday, playing host to South Carolina for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Commonwealth Stadium. The game will be televised live on the SEC Network.
