Kentucky’s victory over South Carolina Saturday paid immediate dividends when Jonesboro (GA.) High corner Jordan Griffin committed to the Wildcats. The 2016 prospect discussed his decision.

Kentucky landed one of the top defensive backs on their 2016 recruiting board Saturday night when Jordan Griffin made the call to commit to the Wildcats. Griffin felt extreme comfort with Mark Stoops and his coaching staff.

“I’ve never met a coaching staff like the one at the University of Kentucky,” said Griffin. “From day one they treated me the best out of all of my choices. They are truly a family. They make me feel as a part of the family,” he continued.

Along with his relationship with the coaching staff, Griffin also found some other things that turned his head about the Kentucky football program.

“What I love most about Kentucky is the coaching staff, the fan base and their desire to win. They have tremendous character all around. It’s an outstanding program,” he continued.

“My relationship with the coaches is incredible. They make me feel important. They always have an optimistic mindset, looking to get better. They really care for the players,” he continued.

Like most of the prospects on hand, Griffin was excited about the atmosphere surrounding Kentucky’s big win over South Carolina.

“The atmosphere Saturday night was unbelievable. The way everyone supported each other was unbelievable. It was crazy,” he finished.

Griffin chose Kentucky over offers from North Carolina State, Clemson, Cincinnati, and Mississippi.
