Tavin Richardson was initially scheduled to be in Lexington this weekend along with several committed and uncommitted prospects. Richardson, however, won’t be at Kentucky this weekend.
“I’m going to Kentucky on January 23rd,” Richardson said. “I’m playing in the Shrine Bowl this weekend.”
Because the all-star game causes a conflict for Richardson he’ll be coming along later. He did have contact with the Wildcat coaching staff recently.
“Coach (Tommy) Mainord came to see me on my in-home visit,” Richardson said. “It went great. My family feels pretty comfortable with him.”
What else did they talk about on the visit?
“We talked about playing time, what kind of offensive coordinator that they are bringing in and what position I’d be playing,” he finished.
Tavin Richardson has long been thought to be a Kentucky lean and he’d give Kentucky a versatile receiver who could play in the slot or on the outside because of his size.
All Wildcats will keep you updated on Tavin Richardson.
