Xavier Arnette helped Central hardin into the third round of the playoffs with a 12-1 record. He rushed for 1175 yards and 19 touchdowns this season and has caught the eye of several coaches.
Arnette got the opportunity to talk a little bit with both schools’ coaches while he was on the campuses.
“The second time at Western I talked to Coach Brohm and Coach Dunn. They invited me down to Junior Day. They’re going to send me a packet about it,” Arnette said.
“At Kentucky I talked with (former offensive coordinator) Neal Brown. He congratulated me on having a big season. I really enjoyed both visits,” he continued.
Now that football is over, the 6-foot, 200-pounder is preparing for his time on the baseball diamond.
“I’m getting ready for baseball season now. I play center or left field,” Arnette said. “I’ve talked to Kentucky in baseball and later this month I’m going to Tennessee for a showcase. Then I’m going to Western Kentucky for a showcase,” he finished.
