Jackson had narrowed his list down to four teams, three traditional powers – Tennessee, Alabama and Ohio State, and Kentucky. The Wildcats were the hometown school and had been pushing hard to land Jackson.
The 6-foot-2, 275-pounder has visited Kentucky more than a dozen times in recent months.
“I’m ready and I think I’ve made up my mind. I’m just ready to get this thing over with,” Jackson said before making it official. “I’m going to be playing college football and earning my degree at the University of Kentucky,” Jackson announced.
Jackson becomes Kentucky’s fifth commitment for the 2016 class and is the top prospect in Kentucky’s 2016 class according to Scout.
