Marcus Lewis is one of the top cornerbacks left uncommitted on the board. At this stage in the game, it’s not surprising to see schools come in at the last second and make a move after those kinds of players.
Most prognostications saw Lewis announcing for Kentucky today and signing with the Wildcats tomorrow morning. But now things are a little more difficult.
When programs like Florida State and Texas call, prospects have to take pause and consider the options. Lewis moved his announcement back to tomorrow morning at 9:45 and has now added the Longhorns and the Seminoles to his final group of schools.
Lewis has officially visited Kentucky and Miami and has been on an unofficial visit to Florida State. He has not visited Texas at all. It’s not clear how much that will matter, but Kentucky is obviously hoping that their persistence and receiving the last visit from Lewis will lead to his LOI being signed in their favor.
All Wildcats and Scout will keep you updated on Marcus Lewis.
