As signing day came to a close, Kentucky added a commitment from 2016 JUCO WR Kayaune Ross. The Phoenix College prospect, originally from Cincinnati (OH.) made it clear that he wanted to be a Wildcat.

JUCO wide receiver Kayaune Ross has the great size that Mark Stoops and his staff have been trying to add since day one. The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder is happy to help fill that role in the 2016 class.

“I’m super excited. It’s helping me look forward to my future and what God has planned,” Ross said.

Ross believes that Kentucky is on the right track and Mark Stoops is preparing his program to make a big leap in the SEC.

“(Joining Kentucky’s class) had a lot to do with the competition level. I only want the best and SEC is great exposure. It’s a great rising program and I want to be a part of something rising to be a top program and be able to help get us there,” Ross said.

Ross joins what appears to be a very solid early recruiting class for the Wildcats. Ross feels like this class is top notch.

“I like the way that some of the commits look forward to becoming a part of these class. They seem as excited as me and we also have great leaders in our class,” he finished.

Ross will enroll in January 2016 so he can participate in spring practice.
