One of Kentucky’s winter commitments, A.J. Rose, talked with All Wildcats about his earlier commitment to the Wildcats and his future role with Mark Stoops’ program.

Cleveland (OH.) Garfield Heights athlete A.J. Rose was one of Kentucky’s earlier 2016 commitments. At 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, he’s played quarterback, running back and some programs have recruited him at defensive back. While the versatile prospect is a great athlete it’s been unclear what his future role would be with the Wildcats.

“Kentucky likes me at running back,” Rose said before describing himself.

“My strengths on the field are my quickness, strength, versatility and speed. On the field, what I do best is my vision. When I’m get the ball in my hands, I’m able to make people miss or run through them.

“Also I’m a leader. I’m always talking to my team, especially in tough games, keeping my teams head up and playing through it,” said Rose, who also holds offers from Syracuse, Bowling Green, Toledo, Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Miami, Buffalo and several others.

With so many opportunities and so much time left before signing day, what led to Rose choosing Kentucky?

“Just all the coaches and players. When I’m in Lexington the coaches make my family and me feel like I’m one theirs. The players are all cool and fun to be around. Plus they have great facilities. It’s just the right place for me honestly,” he continued.

All Wildcats will keep you updated on A.J. Rose.
