Kentucky Wildcats coach Mark Stoops on Cory Johnson's SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honor

Coming off an 11-tackle performance in a 21-13 win over Missouri, Kentucky senior Cory Johnson was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week. In this AllWildcats Video feature, UK head coach Mark Stoops talks about the honor for Johnson.

Johnson has been a force along the line of scrimmage in each of the last two games for Kentucky. He also had six tackles and numerous disruptive plays in the backfield against Florida.

In the Missouri game, seven of Johnson's tackles came on plays in which the Tigers gained three yards or less, including a sack.

He is the second Wildcat to earn a weekly honor from the SEC league office this season. Cornerback Chris Westry was the SEC Freshman of the Week following UK's win at South Carolina earlier this month.
