Kentucky coach Mark Stoops' weekly press luncheon previewing Tennessee game

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops says the Wildcats are eager to turn the page on their worst performance of the season, a 42-16 loss at Mississippi State, and that it helps to have their oldest rival coming to town this week.

“We are looking forward to our preparations for Tennessee and looking forward to a great game," the UK boss said during Monday's weekly press luncheon. "It will be good to come back off of such a disappointing loss and play a rival. It will give us some extra juice this week to get out there and play a lot better than we did last week."

Kentucky (4-3, 2-2 SEC) plays host to Tennessee (3-4, 1-3 SEC) on Halloween night at Commonwealth Stadium. It will mark the first time since 1909 that the Cats and Vols have not played in their traditional November spot on the schedule.

The Vols are coming off a hard-fought 19-14 loss at No. 8 Alabama.
