Kentucky Wildcats' A.J. Stamps added to all-star game roster

Another Kentucky senior has been added to the postseason all-star game lineup.

Safety A.J. Stamps has been added to the National Football League Players Association Collegiate Bowl, it was announced Wednesday. He'll join UK teammate Farrington Huguenin, a senior defensive end, in the event on Jan. 23 at California State University.

Stamps, a native of Vicksburg, Miss., was a two-year starter for the Wildcats after transferring form East Mississippi Community College. The 6-foot, 205-pound safety recorded 123 tackles, 13 pass break-ups and five interceptions for UK. He ranked third on the team in tackles (67) as a senior while leading the Cats in pass break-ups (8).

Two other UK players will also compete in all-star games. Senior linebacker Josh Forrest will play in the 2016 Reese’s Senior Bowl and senior defensive tackle Cory Johnson will play in the East-West Shrine Game.
