The number of snaps taken by record-setting quarterback Jared Lorenzen against the Cardinals as redshirt freshman Shane Boyd drew the starting assignment and went wire-to-wire.



Marks the first victory in Guy Morriss's head coaching career. It also marks the yardage of Artose Pinner's first collegiate touchdown run, and the first blocked field goal of Derrick Johnson's career.



Number of plays on Ball State's first scoring drive, a mammoth, 19-play, 88-yard march that consumed 8 minutes and 44 seconds.



Number of plays it took the Cardinals to surpass their total yardage from the prior week's game at Auburn. Ball State rolled up 427 yards against UK after managing just 92 down on The Plains.



The jersey number of Martez Johnson, unseen in the UK backfield since Oct. 14, 2000 at LSU. The junior running back from Detroit, who was serving a one-game suspension for the Louisville matchup, responded with 24 yards on five carries.



A career-long punt for junior Glenn Pakulak, who is averaging 42.3 yards per kick this season. The effort pinned Ball State back at its 6-yard line early in the fourth quarter, but the UK defense wasn't able to take advantage of it. The Cards drove 94 yards and scored to pull within 28-20 at the 4:42 mark.



The distance of Chad Scott's third-quarter TD run. It was the longest UK touchdown run from scrimmage since Quentin McCord's 80-yarder against South Carolina in 1998. It was the longest by a Wildcat running back since Derick Logan's 70-yard score against Vanderbilt in 1996.



The career points for senior kicker Seth Hanson. The next point he scores will make him only the second Wildcat in history to top 200. Joey Worley (1984-87) is UK's all-time leading scorer at 246.



The time it took for UK to record its first offensive touchdown of the season, a 1-yard plunge by Artose Pinner at the 7:23 mark of the second quarter.
