Report: Mark Stoops losing assistant coach from Kentucky staff

Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops has already made two coaching staff changes since the season ended. He may now have to make a third.

According to a published report by coaching news site FootballScoop.com, UK assistant coach Chad Scott is leaving the Wildcats to accept a position on the North Carolina staff.

Efforts to reach Scott for confirmation were unsuccessful.

Scott had coached running backs at UK the last three years under Stoops. He was set to make the transition to wide receivers in the spring with new offensive coordinator Eddie Gran coaaching the Wildcats' backs.

Scott had also been a strong recruiter for the Cats, especially in his home state of Florida, helping bring players like Jojo Kemp, Garrett Johnson and Jeff Badet to Lexington.

It's a full-circle move for Scott, if it occurs. He played two seasons at UK from 2000-01 before transferring to North Carolina for his final two years.
