Kentucky Baseball's Evan White named SEC Player of the Week

Kentucky's Evan White has been named SEC Player of the Week coming off a 9-for-12 performance in the Wildcats' weekend sweep of Buffalo.

The sophomore first baseman from Ohio also had a triple, a home run, three walks, four stolen bases and eight RBI during his big week.

White, who was a 2015 Freshman All-SEC selection and first-team All-SEC Defensive Team pick, is hitting .386 this season for the Cats. He has collected five extra-base hits and driven in 12 runs to go along with eight runs scored and five stolen bases.

Kentucky (7-3) opens a five-game week with a pair of mid-week matchups, hosting Cincinnati on Tuesday and Murray State on Wednesday at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The Cats also have a three-game weekend series against USC Upstate.
