Kickoff times, broadcast plans set for Kentucky Wildcats' first two home games

Kickoff times and broadcast plans have been set for Kentucky's first two home games of the 2016 college football season.

The SEC and ESPN announced Tuesday that the Wildcats will open the season Sept. 3 with a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff against Southern Miss on ESPNU.

Kentucky's second game will be a road trip to Florida on Sept. 10  for a 3:30 p.m. ET matchup with the Gators on CBS.

The Cats return home on Sept. 17 to face New Mexico State in a 4 p.m. ET kickoff on the SEC Network Alternate. That channel is not live 24 hours a day, but will air league content when games overlap.

For the remainder of the schedule, beginning with the South Carolina game on Sept. 24, game times and television assignments will be announced 12 days in advance of the game date.
