Elite Lafayette offensive lineman Jedrick Wills trims list to eight schools

Four-star Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette offensive lineman Jedrick Wills released a trimmed list of prospective colleges on Wednesday via Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Wills, arguably the top prospect in the Bluegrass State for 2017, included the hometown Kentucky Wildcats among some other heavy hitters as his top options.

Wills has taken recent unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Michigan and Tennessee, which are considered to be some of UK's toughest competition. Many believe the Fighting Irish have been in the best position to challenge the Cats to date.

He is a teammate of current UK verbal commitment Walker Wood, the Lafayette quarterback, as well as a former teammate of 2016 UK signee Landon Young.

Kentucky currently has 10 verbal commitments in a 2017 class that is expected to top out around 17 players due to total scholarship numbers.
