VIDEO: UK-Bound Wood Opens Season with Bang

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Lafayette quarterback Walker Wood never imagined his senior season beginning like it did Friday against Lexington rival Dunbar.

The Kentucky commitment saw his first pass on the Generals' opening snap tipped in the air, intercepted and returned for a touchdown by the by the Bulldogs.

Nearly three hours later, however. It was Wood who was celebrating a 50-14 victory and a big passing night. He finished 18-of-31 for 248 yards and three TD passes and rushed eight times for 58 yards.
