Kentucky Wildcats land verbal commitment from Florida DB Michael Nesbitt

Kentucky landed a verbal commitment Thursday night from one of south Florida's most sought-after defensive backs.

Three-star Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd H. Anderson High School cornerback Michael Nesbitt announced his decision via the Twitter social network.

In addition to Kentucky, Nesbitt held offers from programs like Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Arkansas, Louisville, South Carolina, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

He was a visitor to the UK campus this summer for one of the Wildcats' camps, displaying a lot of the qualities which made him a breakout prospect in the spring.

According to Scout, the 6-foot-1, 183-pound cornerback flashes impressive strength, ball skills and recovery ability.

Nesbitt is the 13th verbal commitment in the Class of 2017 for the Wildcats. He is the fourth defensive back, joining cornerback Cedric Dort and safeties Tyrell Ajian and JaVont'e Richardson.

Kentucky is expected to sign between 18-20 players in the current senior class.
