The latest news and notes on the Kentucky Wildcats' basketball recruiting front

In this All Wildcats feature, we get you caught up on all the latest developments with Kentucky basketball prospects during a busy week on the recruiting scene.

VANDERBILT SET TO VISIT CATS

Although Big Blue Madness has passed with the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for UK, there are still some highly regarded prospects who still plan to make their way to Lexington.

One of them is five-star power forward Jarred Vanderbilt, Scout' No. 15 overall prospect in the Class of 2017 and a former AAU teammate of the Cats' De'Aaron Fox.

The Houston native is coming off a visit to North Carolina's "Late Night with Roy" event in which he said the Tar Heels "set the bar pretty high."

Arizona, Texas, TCU, Kansas, Oregon and UK remain in the mix for Vanderbilt. Many believe TCU could be the leader after the Horned Frogs hired one of Vanderbilt's cousins as an assistant coach.

CHANGE OF PLANS FOR WASHINGTON

Five-star Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep power forward P.J. Washington was thought to be narrowing his choice down to UK and Arizona with a visit looming to Tuscon, but he had a change of heart coinciding with news that the Pac 12 program had picked up a verbal from California power forward Ira Lee.

Washington told Scout's Evan Daniels that he will now replace Arizona with UNLV to round out a final three. The No. 14 overall prospect has already visited UK and North Carolina. He plans to be with the Running Rebels on the first weekend of November.

WALKER POSTPONES VISIT

Five-star Pennsylvania shooting guard Lonnie Walker will not be visiting UK this weekend as originally planned.

Scout's No. 23 overall prospect has not set a new date to be in Lexington. He is also considering Villanova, Arizona, Miami and Syracuse.

Uncertainty continues to surround UK's recruiting efforts at the 2 spot. Hamidou Diallo, John Petty and Walker have been focused as the main three since the summer AAU circuit. The best bet still looks to be Petty, who recently trimmed his list to UK and Alabama.

TOP SOPHOMORES MAY BE IN TOWN

A pair of 2019 Florida prospects -- Fort Lauderdale University School teammates Balsa Koprivica and Vernon Carey -- are rumored to be coming to Lexington for the Blue-White Game on Friday night and for a tour of campus this weekend.

Koprivica is a skilled 7-footer from Serbia currently ranked No. 2 in the sophomore class by Scout. Carey is a 6-9, 245-pound power forward ranked No. 12 for 2019.

Both have commanded early attention from a Who's Who of top college basketball programs. Carey has been closely tied to Miami, where his father of the same name was a football standout for the Hurricanes and later played for the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
