The No. 8 Wildcats shot only 38 percent from the field, allowed Florida to shoot 68 percent in the second half, and were outrebounded 54-29, causing UK head coach John Calipari to take his team to task in the postgame interview session.
"You can't have three, four guys not play well," Calipari said. "But I don't want to take away from what Florida did. They just beat us from the tip to the end of the game."
It marked the most lopsided loss the Cats have sustained in the history of the series.
"It's a long season," the UK boss said. "I'm glad I've got the team I have, but it's a long season."
Kentucky (18-5, 8-2 SEC) slipped into a second-place tie with Florida in the league standings as South Carolina moved into the top spot.
