Kentucky's much-anticipated "Junior Day" on Saturday included the fourth verbal commitment for the Wildcats in the Class of 2018.
Alex Reigelsperger, a three-star defensive end from Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne High School, announced his commitment to UK during the radio pregame show leading up to the Wildcats' SEC basketball clash with Florida.
"Everything just always feels like family here," Reigelsperger said, noting that multiple UK coaches check in with him on a weekly basis. His primary recruiter was Vince Marrow.
The 6-foot-4, 237-pound Reigelsperger is considered one of the top junior prospects in the Buckeye State. He picked the Cats over several other major offers from programs like Cincinnati, West Virginia, Michigan State, Penn State, Rutgers and Iowa.
Reigelsperger is the second defensive end to commit to the Cats for 2018, joining Florida prospect Davoan Hawkins. UK also has a commitment from Georgia quarterback Jarren Williams and Florida wide receiver Marvin Alexander.
