Kentucky's Logan Salow was named the SEC Pitcher of The Week after earning a save in all three of the Wildcats' victories last week, including two against No.11 Ole Miss.
Teammate Sean Hjelle received the honor last week for red-hot Kentucky, which has won 16 of its last 18 games and has ascended to No. 16 in the national rankings after winning its first two league series.
Salow has been a huge part of the success. The senior left-hander has not allowed a baserunner in his last eight innings on the mound. He has retired 24 consecutive batters, with 17 coming via strikeout.
The Ashland (Ky.) native has not allowed an earned run in 19 innings of work this season. He has allowed only nine hits and five walks while striking out 28. Opposing batters are hitting .143 against him.
Kentucky (18-7, 5-1 SEC) returns to action Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. ET against Cincinnati at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
